What is Paleo?

Paleo is a type of diet. The paleo diet, or Paleolithic diet, is nicknamed to be the caveman diet.

It is considered to be a “caveman diet” due to the fact that the foods that are to be consumed in this diet are only foods that would have been available to cavemen during the Paleolithic era.

Paleo meals consist of meat, fruits, vegetables, fungus(mushrooms), legumes, nuts, seeds and grains.

Paleo Compared to Vegan

Paleo diets consist of meat and animal products. During the paleolithic era, humans were hunters and gatherers. Much of the human diet contained meats during this era of time. As a result, meats and animal products are a part of the paleo diet. On the other hand, vegans don’t eat any type of animal foods at all.
